Challenge
The automotive project focused on elevated temperatures around the installed display. The solution needed a defined module temperature boundary and an assessment of the thermal conditions at its mounting position and operating state, so that display selection could match the application requirements.
The thermal requirement also had to fit the display and integration requirements: a 10.1-inch screen, 1024 × 600 resolution, LVDS connectivity and the available mechanical space. Final use conditions needed to be confirmed against the complete assembly and the actual module temperature at its mounting position.

Address the automotive heat requirement through defined module temperature limits while coordinating the installation conditions, LVDS interface and mechanical integration.

Solution
The Miqidisplay solution centers on the 90-10122-IH1 LCD module, using its -30°C to +80°C datasheet limits as the selection boundary and its 80°C, 120-hour high-temperature operating and storage requirements as the verification basis. The 10.1-inch, 1024 × 600 display configuration and LVDS interface support the vehicle interface, with mechanical integration defined against the module drawing.
A Defined +80°C Temperature Boundary
The datasheet lists both operating and storage temperatures from -30°C to +80°C. The solution uses this range for module selection and for confirming the actual module temperature at its mounting position, with powered operation and unpowered storage considered separately.
Defined 120-Hour High-Temperature Test Requirements
The reliability specification calls for 120 hours of operation at 80°C and 120 hours of storage at 80°C. It also specifies 10 thermal-shock cycles through -30°C, 25°C and 80°C. These defined conditions establish the requirements for verifying heat exposure and temperature transitions in the vehicle integration.
Display Performance and Equipment Integration
The 10.1-inch screen combines 1024 × 600 resolution and an LVDS interface with a typical contrast ratio of 1000:1. Typical viewing angles are 85° in each direction at CR ≥10, providing a specified basis for vehicle-interface presentation and host integration alongside the thermal requirement.

Operating and storage temperatures follow the module drawing and are also listed in the electrical specifications. Heat, humidity and thermal-shock entries are specified test requirements; actual verification results are subject to the project test report. Final use conditions must be confirmed against the complete assembly, installation environment and actual module temperature. Typical contrast and viewing angles are not measurements across the full temperature range.

Result
The solution translates the automotive heat requirement into a documented display configuration and verification boundary: a 10.1-inch, 1024 × 600 LVDS module selected against -30°C to +80°C datasheet limits, with defined 80°C, 120-hour operating and storage test requirements. Its 1000:1 typical contrast ratio and 85° typical viewing angles retain the specified display configuration for the vehicle interface, providing a consistent basis for system thermal assessment and integration confirmation.
